Jul 21, 2016 · GSG 1911/22 problem. My GSG seems to have one nagging problem, failure to go into battery. I've checked and what is holding it open, that fraction of an inch, is the extractor. It hits the face of the extractor slot, and stops the slide just short of battery. If I just put my thumb on back of slide it goes into place easily. Discuss all aspects of firearm ownership. Piece of shit still doesn't run well. 1 out of every 20 or so rounds doesn't cycle correctly, but I put another 100 rounds through it. Not familiar with the Firefly but, if it is a rebranded Mosquito, then run (don't walk) away from that one.
