Don't know if this might help, but I did find a thread that mentioned (splice pack) sp423 -- a bunch of grounds packed together on the rear crossmember just behind the fuel tank (and damned difficult to get to). Apparently, corrosion of this pack can even cause engine misfire codes. The grounding strap is connected at the negative battery terminal, and runs down to the bottom of the battery box. The problem is that the battery box was painted before they hooked the groundstrap up, so the groundng strap is actually touching a nice thick layer of black factory paint!
