My RWD cars also get their oil and rear axle fluid change around the 1,000 mile point.This VSE unit IMO is best since there is filtration AFTER the WIF sensor. Single filter L5P aftermarket units the WIF sensor is on the 'clean' side of the filter....if the water light comes on then it's too late. I didn’t see any real changes in range but then again it is my first diesel. It gets 30mpg on the highway at 65mph so I guess if it regens for 7% of the time then it will probably drop to 27 to 28 mpg. Seems drop down to like 22 to 24 mpg when it’s regenerating on the highway..
