The laminate stocks were used on the T3s and only early in AKM production... the pebble stock was introduced in late 1966 or in 1967, and I believe later retrofitted on the early AKMs. The 1966s that recently came in did not have laminate. This is the style of side optic rail unique to the East German MPi-AK-74 series of rifles. Also compatible with any rifles with an AK-74 spec rear trunnion; 32mm horizontal distance between rivets.
