As for any real differences, you would have to explore the Generation 3's and 4's. The best defense is a good offense, and I'm really offensive. The HST was almost as good with the best group being about 2.5 inches. The PMC bronze 230 gr ball and Winchester Ranger were almost identical with both groups averaging just a tad over 2.5 inches. The G30S is an incredible carry gun, but it has very little aftermarket support (when compared to other Glocks, lol), but changing calibers is difficult because of the G36 slide.. The 30 does shoot softer than the 27 and also affords you the benefit of a full grip. The 36 isn't bad either. It has slightly more felt recoil than the 30 due to lighter slide and thinner grip. I never noticed musch difference with the 36 slide on my 30 (same as 30s). The G30SF pistols manufactured before late 2014 are marked with the letters "SF" on the right side of the frame forward of the slide lock as shown in the photo posted above by ActanonVerba70 (G30 Gen3 on the left and G30SF on the right).
