Oct 30, 2014 · 2002 Prairie 300 4x4 - the starter button stopped working. I have systematically looked at the issue from the button itself down to the solenoid on to the starter and the battery. For the life of me I have no idea what is the problem. The starter button shows it has voltage reaching it. One ride told me I didn't want one due to the suspension. It's probably the spring loaded gear selector fork under the shifter assy behind the rear head. it's VERY easy for one side of that spring mechanism to fall off when assembling. this way you don't get a full throw when putting it in gear with the hand shifter. .
